Now Ben is hoping to find £10,000 in their box. If Ben finds £10,000 in their box, Ben has made a great deal.

Ben had £5,000 in box number 21, however as Ben swapped the box Ben had box number 13 which had £10,000. Ben beat the Banker by £15,000.

The remaining box belonged to Lis with box number 18 which had £50,000.

Summary:

Dealt at: £25,000
Amount in their Box: £5,000
Highest Offer: £25,000
Lowest Offer: BOX SWAP

Synopsis:

An intriguing contest of mind games today, as the Banker offers Ben a box swap in the first round with no real reason behind it! Ben instantly takes up this offer for his apparent lucky number of 13. Ben doesn't really get much luck throughout his game and the offers fail to impress. Ben however plays on with conviction determined that the big money is in his new box. In the final round a worried Banker makes an offer after every box in an attempt to get Ben to leave the game! He offers £6,500, then £11,000, but these are both turned down as Ben says he is opening his box! In a final effort to get Ben to deal the Banker offers £25,000 at the end which Ben instantly snaps up proclaiming that he was never going to play to the end and box 13 means absolutely nothing to him and he had be playing his own mind games with the Banker.

For some reason the BOX SWAP amounts have not registered correctly in the game, and it is showing Ben being left with £10,000 and £50,000 at the end of the game rather then the £5,000 and £50,000 that it actually was. Apologies for this problem.

Great game in my opinion, for once I did not mind the extra offers as they were fair offers anyway plus he didn't accept them. I don't mind it too much as long as they don't ruin the gameplay too much, hence the reason why I dislike the special shows.

I'll tell you how to comment with less than 20 characters the next time there's a completely gimmick-free show, so there's another reason to hope there's no gimmicks.

No James, because you seem to be able to do it, no-one really knows lol. Whenever I have a one word response, I have to lengthen it with loads of exlaimation marks or fullstops lol. I loved Ben's game, it was amazing, the £25k was offer was superb, well done. SPOILER: - I just have to blab but Amy's game was another classic game! I would have taken the £31,000. The 5th offer was really good and I predicted it correctly lol! Well done Ben & Amy.

A gimmick-free game today (although it wouldn't have been if the £250,000 had stayed to the end with one of the lower reds) so here's how to do short comments: write the comment, and then add spaces to the end. The spaces are invisible when you post the comment. Simples!

Only the sob story spoiled it. I actually was worried though that if she had left the £15,000 with the 250k then the B/G might have been offered. I know in live play it would be more say £90,000 but we all know why he offers the B/G don't we.

Today's show was the 250th of the season and it featured a mega win, just like the 250th show of the second season, which saw Rodney win £85,000. Plus, there was a big win in the 250th show overall, when Nev won £41,000 but could have won £250,000.

Actually it was the £3,000 he left with the £250,000 so that makes it even more peanuts. Usually the B/G is offered when the last offer would have been nearly the same as what they dealt at. Except for some though e.g. Alice, Michael, Mel and Karl

You make it sound as if the 250th show in every season or every milestone show e.g. 300th, 350th 400th etc are fixed. Remember what happened in the 500th show and the second anniversary.

No I'm not saying they're fixed, I'm just pointing out an unusual coincidence. The only time I've ever suspected a game being fixed is the 1000th show when the £250,000 happened to be in the unlucky box (13) and the death box (22). Anyway, are you actually saying you don't mind that they fix games?

Terrible, terrible game today. I was right on the edge of my seat praying and praying that the £250,000 went in the last box. For crying out loud Banker, you've already given away £250,000 by the B/G how much more do you want to give. Obviously the Banker doesn't care about throwing his money away anymore. I fear we are going to see more boring people become quarter millionaire's in the future. Deal or No Deal is offically dead now.

An obvious contender for Worst Game Of The Month today, and I think we can be fairly certain that if there are any more £250,000 winners in the future, it will be because of the Banker's Gamble and not bravery.

I just saw it again on More4 and Noel mentioned Alice's bravery at the end of game at how she won it. Correction Noel, Alice was not brave and hardly was she a worthy contestant. She's not up there(in my opinion) in the hall of fame. I won't complain any more for the sake of everyone else on this site, but when Christipher's game is loaded i'm going to make a serious point to all you guys here as the why the Banker's Gamble is bad and why I hate it.

I know exactly what you mean James and British leyland, shame that not everyone agrees with us. This game use to be about risk vs reward, now with the Banker's Gamble it's more like stupidity or boring vs reward. As I said before for crying out loud the Banker is suppose to try and stop the player from going on and by giving as little as possible. It seems as if now he's turned a new leaf and is happy to throw money away to anyone who has a tragic horrow in their life and feels sorry for. This is suppose to be a gameshow not Jeremy Kyle.

Perry who are you to tell me to shut up. Your the only one who likes players with sob stories, your the only one who likes gimmicks, Banker's Gamble, future offers etc. I'd imagine you'd be the same if you were on DOND. Everyone on this site just make complaints cuz then Perry will lose his temper and start shouting. I'd imagine that he would deal at a poor offer and then accept the B/G to win more, so I can't see him being a worthy winner.

Aha for you're info I've always said I wouldnt take the gamble, because if I've dealt at something, surely I'm happy with it and I dealt at it for a reason, even if its similar to a deal like Alices, so you can totally shut the heck up, and I dont like all the gimmicks, I just switch off when I dislike something, complain about it ONCE and move on. But you? Nooooo, you have to watch it again and again, refuse to switch off so you can complain, over and over again. Have you noticed how many times you've used the words "Gimmick" "Dreadful" "Terrible" in you're posts?

Good game today after the major slip on Friday. The only minor complaint was when the Banker said that the next offer would be the average, as that meant we knew he would definitely deal if there was still a red and so there was less excitement.

I didn't watch all of today's game, I was tired you see. Plus he didn't look like he was going to be a mega winner anyway. So did the Banker ring back and inform him what the next offer would be if he did an all blue round ? Isn't it funny though that whenever the Banker informs them of what the next offer will be, the players usually deal anyway. I've never ever seen anyone say "No Deal" after the Banker tells them what their next offer will be.

xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.com
42 SUN 14 JUN 9:59 PM
James said...

That's because the Banker only makes future offers when it looks like the player is going to say deal. When a player is about to say deal, the Banker realizes that he needs to liven the game up a bit and so makes the future offer. It rarely changes the player's mind though and they still say deal. In today's game however he actually said no deal, but because we knew what his offer would be there was no excitement.
