Anyway lets all pray and hope for a fresh start in season 5, No sob stories, no gimmicks just focus on the game.

Oh yes has anyone been watching Deal or No Deal this week, even though they're off for the summer. Yesterday Walter played and today Amy played. I wish they would show some games from season 2 though, it seems as if Noel, the Banker and the producers have forgotten about any players before season 3.

I would like to thank everybody who is involved with planning and making and uploading this site. I find it very enjoyable, although some of the contributors are annoying. To those who do not like the "gimmicks" well I think they make the game more interesting and exciting. If a show stands still, it will die and the odd extra thrown in by the programme makers is to be expected. I love the way some of you think that the banker is losing his touch or going soft, in fact, he is just one part of the show and does whatever the programme makers want him to do. Roll on the next season.

Joe will be in Noel's Hall of Fame as he was in the trailer and I'm not sure about Ben, although Noel did say in the next game that he thought Ben's game was one of the best ever, so I'd assume he has chosen it to go in his Hall of Fame.

Yes I saw Eddie's game today and that was a classic one, deserves to be in the Noel's hall of fame. (This is a response to The Crazy Chair) I'm sorry if most of our comments annoy you but everyone is entitled to their own opinions of this site, it's an open site for all users after all. We don't actually hate the show and we are not saying the players are bad, were saying that some of the games the players play are bad. My problem with all the "gimmicks" (which mostly occur in the special shows) is that they ruin the gameplay of the show, so all the tension and drama is taking away. In my opinion anyway.

Oh for flips sake, there is NO winning with you guys. I seriously mean this. You always contradict yourselves, when you complain about A, and then DOND does the opposite, you still complain. I wouldn't have minded watching three weeks of Hall of Fame episodes, but seeing as the games are being personally chosen by Noel, we're just going to be seeing games with lots of gimmicks such as Alice's and Lauren's. And Noel does have an annoying liking for 'old dear' games such as Constance's and Eunice's. I'm surprised he didn't select Margaret, whose game had to be shown yesterday instead as a normal repeat.

I don't think I'll be watching the hall of fame thingie, it doesn't look like they are gonna show shows from Season One, I really hope they would beause I didn't watch DOND back then, and it would be nice to see episodes from there.

I quite like some of the tension in her game, she took ages answering the question regarding the gamble AND the swap. Also, you must have been praying she'd decline it, so techinically DOND did achieve one thing; keeping you lot glued to the TV screaming for her to say NO DEAL.

Don't forget Julie from last October, and Ellen from Santa vs Scrooge, Mel who won 50k by the B/G, Tony from the first Easter special, the last Banker's Birthday where the Banker looked inside one of the boxes (despite finding no 'phoney' clowns) and told him where the £250,000 was, the two games where another Alice situation nearly happened and Kerry's game. Some of these are bound to be in the hall of fame.

I wasn't on the edge of my seat during Alice's Banker's Gamble decision as you only needed to look at the time to know that she was going to accept it. It was about 4.50, and the TV listings showed the Paul O'Grady show or Richard and Judy (I forget which) starting at 5.05 instead of 5.00. So it was no surprise at all.

alfonso and daniel are the worst players of all time

I wish they would show some of the biggest money wins (that weren't forced) and some of the games from seasons 1 and 2. It seems that the 15 hall of fame episodes will be from season 3 and 4 only, which in my opinion are the weakest seasons.

Another great classic game today for Graham, but dealing at £30,030 is a bad decision. Half of the boxes contain more and the average is about £60,000 nearly double the amount he dealt at. Anything less than 50k for me is a No Deal. Still at least he only squandered £10,000 and it was a gimmick free game, so all in all good. Tommorrow's game if it is Lauren I won't be watching.

I think there will be a sixth season, but by then the ever-increasing number of gimmicks may have put several people off and the show may decide to bow out quietly. Interesting to see what they'll do with the 21 players who are still in the wings on the final show though.

They'll probably tell us they are going to "take a break" and for the last twenty-one players, have their family members open their boxes for them, like the dreaded x-mas stars that I'd never ever ever watch lol.

It all depends on the ratings but somehow I think season 5 will be the last. But what on earth are they going to do with all the other players who haven't played yet, put them in a lorry and drive them home lol.

You must have read that they're filming the sixth series, not season. The series are a separate way of numbering the episodes and are based on when they are filmed rather than when they are shown.

I think that they should show games throughout the week that include big money turn rounds such as Keran £75,000 and Maria £100,000, but then also show games that crash like Tony - January 50p, and Katie Jan 08 1p and mix them up so if people decide to watch over the summer they wont know what to expect. There has been nothing very special about the games shown this week, haven't bothered watching them. I think showing how the game can turn one way or another would be good for the shows viewings next season. Also include other classics such as Patricia and Orry's christmas games- and other brave players such as Mavis and Des who risked going home with a blue to win £100,000. To be honest who can really be bothered to watch this show to the end when they deal at 8 box. I can sort of understand why they brought the bankers gamble in because so many players have no courage when it comes to their one opportunity

Well Clive's game was good I enjoyed his, but Joe and Graham's are just ok, as for today's well didin't see it but I knew who it was. I'm not saying Lauren's game was the worst, (at least it didn't involve the B/G) but it wasn't the most exiting £100,000 win nowhere near as good as Gaz, Maria and Betty's. Oh and I agree with Mark they should show some of those games and Mavis and Les were classic games too, better than Lauren's if they had won £100,000. i've probably said this before but lauren did what daniel in season 3 did by coming within 1 box of the dream finish in live play. daniel wouldn't have set this up since he had the £50k in his box, but if he had set it up, no doubt the banker would have had to offer him £175k because, of course, he played one of the greatest games of all time. in contrast, many of the offers lauren received were rubbish, so u can b sure the banker would have offered her a good bit less than £175k - any suggestions as to what that figure might have been?

He perhaps would have added £100k to the previous offer to make £151,000. Either that or £150,000 or £160,000. Definitely somewhere between those two amounts.

with daniels game with £50,000 and £250,000 climax i think banker wud offer £140,000 coz he was determined and in laurens game with the dream finish £100,000 and £250,000 i think the banker wud offer lauren what james said £151,000 but if the banker wanted to save over £100,000 (he probally wud) hed wud probally offer £141,000-£146,000 he cud rele stingy we will never know neway.

I watched Daniel's game again a few days ago and it was shame because I think he would have been our first male quarter millionaire if he had it in his box. I'm 100% sure he would have gone to the end had it not been revealed in the final box of the final round.

as for lauren's game, £151k seems plausible enough, but IMO the banker probably wouldn't have gone much higher than that. remember that just about all his previous offers were bad. and it is very much possible that he could have been stingy and only offered her something around £140k. of course, if lauren had gone on and not swapped in either of these cases, it would have then been an anticlimax because she would have won 'only' £100k

Apparently the fact that they're only showing games from seasons 3 and 4 has got something to do with the Viewer Competition, which ended just after season 3 began.

Anyway another great game for Mary, I loved that bit at the end when she was offered the question again, although in way that's kind of like the Banker's Gamble if you know what I mean. Lets just pray and hope it doesn't become a new kind of gimmick in season 5, but all in all a great game. I wonder how that £75,000 has changed her life.

Saw that it was Doreen's game yesterday- I remember this game, I hated it The offers were far too high, and as it would seem since the banker was so keen to have another winner of £250,000 as it would seem with alice's game, he should have given lower offers to keep her going I hated Febuary and March with this show , some of the most boring and stupid games ever

noel and the producers have completely forgotton about the great contestants from seasons 1 and 2??!?!!? if so then that is an absolute disgrace IMHO. some of the most brilliant games ever and genuinely riveting viewing too, and yet it does not occur to noel and the producers to keep these games in their minds??? i'll bet richard whiteley was better at remembering the great countdown players, while chris tarrant, jim bowen and gordon burns are similarly better at remembering prominent contestants on millionaire, bullseye and the old krypton factor respectively. also do noel and the producers even realise that seasons 1 and 2 were by far the best???

I agree with with everything you said there british leyland, so far most of the games in Noel's Hall of Fame have been rubbish games that in my opinion don't deserve to be in the hall of fame. Constance's game today was one example as she dealt at a atrocious £30,000 with 20k, 35k, and the top two biggies still on the board when although that was Noel's fault really. As a matter of fact her game was right before Andy's which was the 3rd bday, I really hope they don't show his otherwise i'll switch it off. Noel, the Banker and the producers have completly forgotten about some of the best players from seasons 1 and 2. The reason why they're not showing season 1/2 games is because of the viewer competition bits which they can't be bothered to edit out. And so Alice's game will be shown whilst Laura's won't be.

An interesting fact you should all know about Maria's game and James you should listen to this as well. The viewers competition was still going then as it didn't close until around October and her game was in September. So that means it's not because of the viewers competition that season 1 and 2 games are not part of the hall of fame, I reckon it's just because Noel and the producers have completly forgotten about them. I feel so sorry for those guys especially Laura.

well we've passed the 100 comment mark again. and joe, u're absolutely right about maria's game taking place when the viewers' competition was still going. this was on 25 september 2007, and it was 6 days later, during the game of ioanna - still one of my least favourite DOND contestants - when noel announced that the viewers' competition was no more. so it's certainly not impossible that he and the producers have completely forgotten about seasons 1 and 2 - which as i said in comment 84 would b an absolute disgrace

Exactly and with Maria's game on Monday along with Matty, Lisa and Orry it's unlikely that Daniel's game will be shown. I bet Noel can't even remember him, I remember when all the contestants from the previous seasons returned for the 1000th show and the countdown shows to it, Noel barely remembered any of them and to ask them what they won when he spoke to them. Also any facts about DOND, he would read them on a card that's the producers going back a few years and reminding him so it just shows what his memory is like. I'm not insulting him or saying he is a bad presenter, I just thought he would have been better don't you all agree ?

I think that Patricia and Orry's christmas games were amazing. I loved the whole atmosphere of those christmas games with the theme and everything. I really had wished that they would do the same last christmas, I thought that it was much cheaper and tackier last time round. This was what really got me into deal or no deal, in my opinion the whole week was just so fascinating. They should show it all again

I wonder if they're going to celebrate their anniversary yet again this season with a fourth birthday special. I can't think of any other show which sees the need to cemebrate every single anniversary. And they've got worse every year. The first wasn't too bad with Jon Culshaw, but the second had a massive Banker Bonus and the third was just... let's not talk about it. Who knows what the fourth will be like?

The only reason you thought it was bad was because he was 'only' offered £50,000? But technically he was offered more than that. I enjoyed the Christmas shows where Orry and Patricia played. I never watch the x-mas stars though.

I agree with James the 3rd bday was one of the worst games of the month for Andy, just behind Alice. So many gimmicks and others that made that show bad. Terrible offers, about five sob stories, that annoying 'candle' gimmick and the Banker decides to throw away as much money as possible by forcing him to either win the biggest prize or by dealing and then being give the chance to double the offer. One things for sure if there is a fourth anniversary this year, I won't be surprised if the £250,000 stays to the end as it always does in most of the milestone shows.

as for the birthday shows, i agree 100% that they've got worse each year. i thought the huge banker bonus in the 2nd birthday show was unfair as well as ridiculous, given that it was originally supposed to b £250 for each of the other contestants and at the end the banker decided to give it all to helen. and the 3rd... well, try explaining to noel how it was one of the worst shows of all time and it's quite likely he'll disagree with every point u make. he'll probably disagree about the 2nd being bad too. i can't see DOND not celebrating it's 4th anniversary, nor can i see gimmicks not playing a major role in it

Anyway great classic game today I loved every minute of it. No gimmicks, Banker's Gamble, future offers just a plain, normal big money game. Great seeing some of the contestants too, I remember 'planet' Joan, 'grim reaper' Jean, Potsy and Edd the mathmatical nerd. Deal or No Deal was still good back then until around end of 2007. I wonder how that money has changed her life now.

Joan was fawwwwwking hilarious. I loved her. But my fav game of all time was Chantelle's. She was brilliant!

even though they showed matty in the trailer it doesnt seem like hes playing cause its orrys game tomoz just checked and noel said mega turn around game on wednesday and matty only won 1p so it wasnt a turn around, 1000 show on thursday and a women on friday with whatever the illness noel called it so i dont think hes playing. anyway how is everyone

I think Wednesday's game may be Keran Jackson as far as i'm concerned. She is the only one who had the best turn around ever on DOND and since her game was in season four it's most likely. Friday's game proably might be Betty's, it's a real shame that they hardly showed any of the season 1/2 games I really wanted to see some of them. Looks like the fansite is the only site with them I hope it stays, even after DOND is finished.

Karl, a turnaround doesn't neccessairly mean they win big, a turn around can be something like you do 6 blues in the beginning and then ou have catstrophic bad luck after and leave with a blue amount. Just letting you know. Therefore, Matty's 1p win was a big turnaround as he did decline £35,000 at one point.

Well I don't mind either, Keran or Matty. Keran's was the best game of season 4 and Matty's was one of the best games of season 3 (even though it was a special show!)

Yeah and today's classic was such a heartbreaker, he really deserved to win the £100,000 as he was brave in turning down all those offers (especially the last 3). Even though his game was in a special show, I didn't mind it as he went to the end which in a way makes it nearly gimmick-free. The Santa vs Scrooge in 2007 was ok becuase we had Orry and Patricia, but the 2008 one terrible as we had the forced £75,000 and £100,000 win oh and the first christmas star was a bummer too. If only the Banker's Gamble hadn't been offered.

Christmas 2007 was classic! Orry's game was really good but he should have taken his own advice when he said not to get greedy, he was a big risk taker. I really hope they bring back this 1800s dress theme this christmas and the carols and stuff. Christmas 2008 was too forced and cheap. I'm sure you think I am quite strange but I am obsessed with christmas, I watched Orry's game twice 2day

Another great classic game today and it's probably one of the greatest turn arounds ever in the history of Deal or No Deal. Nine blues in a row, and winning £75,000, probably the best game of Season 4 who knows what Season 5 will bring. Shame she picked her birthday boxes at the beginning otherwise she'd have kep't a few of the power five remaining at the end.

For once Noel was right to use a superlative in today's game as it actually was the biggest turnaround of all time.

Why the hell are they showing her game it was boring, she dealt at £41,000 with 35 grand garanteed. Out of all the shows from Season 3 and 4 they choose Carrie's. Perhaps her sob story touched Noel's heart. Today's was an ok game.

That was gay, dealing with £35,000 guranteed. If only she had Stephen's situation, because he declined £42,000 and won the lesser amount and she dealt and actually had the £50,000 in her box. That way they both woulda played perfect games lol.

Well I won't be watching it that's for sure as I don't want to hear the No Deal Knights.

Out of interest which games would you guys have chosen for the hall of fame. The fifteen hall of fames I would have picked are, Jennifer, Brenda, Kirsty, Gaz, Morris, Lynne (the one from season 2 who won £75,000), Claudine, Laura, Gaz (other one who won £70k) Graeme, Daniel, Betty, Keran, Doreen and Amy. No doubt Noel can't remember most of those players.

wicked game. personally thought that you were going to deal at £10,000 after eineen opened her box so well done for carrying on. was on the edge of my seat the whole time. also have the show video taped and watch it very often. enjoy £40,000 and mexico. you deserve it. all the best for the future.

Yeah I would agree with most of those games Perry,great classics, they really stick out in my mind as exciting games but I can't remember all of them, but maybe not Constance and Daniel

Cant wait till 2moz for the new sesson 2 start but hopefully there wont b any gimmocks or bankers gambles or any of that stuff, and a hope that the banker doesnt phone up sayin if u take out this ur offer will b that coz that just spoils it completely a think, does any1 think the same or do some poeple think different? lol

With the new series of The X Factor just starting and the new season of Deal or No Deal, there's a competition of which has the most gimmicks and sob stories.

if u ask me, the sob stories and the gimmocks can all go 2 the x factor lol

The Banker will probably have a checklist of gimmicks to fulfil each week. Future offer - check... Offer after every box - check... Bring back into live play - check... Forced big win - check, and so on. I'm also thinking that with the ever-increasing number of special weeks, there may be a whole week of build-up to this year's anniversary show, just like the build-up to the 1000th show. But amongst all that there will hopefully be some good games to prove that the show is still worth watching.

I think that the future offers are needed sometimes but the banker tends to give future offers that are ridiculously high like Pat and Callum's games, but if he just gave normal future offers it would be great

Why did the banker offer £16,000 with Gail, although it was a good game I would have stuck with £8,000 if she said no deal she would have went home with £50 but I really liked this game, The offers are almost exactly what I would have made apart from £16,000

I thought today's game was great as it was a complete gimmick free game, great way to start the new season. Did anyone notice on the intro they showed new clips inside the picture frames, although most of them were full of gimmicks and forced the only ones I saw were Laura, Joe and Mary.
