It's the first of the Desert Island Deal shows to mark the end of season 5. The studio and everyone is suitably dressed for the occasion. Carly gets off to a good start in the first 2 rounds and gets some great offers. Things go slightly wrong in the 3rd round and the Banker then reveals his 'Message in a bottle' twist, there are 3 bottles on the island and 2 bottles contain the words 'DESERT ISLAND' and 1 bottle contains 'TREASURE ISLAND', he gives Carly an offer of £10,000 and the chance to open 1 bottle, if she finds 'TREASURE ISLAND' her win would be doubled to £20,000, Carly declines the offer. At the end of the 4th round the offer is £8,000 + 2 bottles, if Carly finds 'TREASURE ISLAND' her win is doubled to £16,000, but if she doesn't find it her win is halved to £4,000! Carly decides to take this offer. The 5th round would have seen an offer of £13,000 + 1 bottle with the chance to double her money. At the end Carly chooses her 2 bottles but finds both 'DESERT ISLAND' bottles and her win is halved to £4,000.

There is a mistake on the site, it doesn't show the £100,000 being removed in the last box of the 5th round.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comI can't understand why she dealt that offer, If it was 16,000 straight fair enough but the chance of leaving with 4,000 was possible and even though 8,000 was her offer she could never leave with that, the first 2 offers were very good though for special week, the chances of her picking the two wrong bottles was very low though- seriously unlucky just like Brenda's horrible easter game, don't like this game play, it defeats purpose of opening actual money boxes, and dealing because you are not going to leave with that sum of money, its either going to be a lot higher or lower, why did they change it from the sunshine, rain thing? It was more interesting
xx.146.55.185I've noticed that they haven't had the 'Banker looks inside the box' gimmick for a while, not since Christmas. Maybe they've gotten tired of it.
xx.30.156.127Lets hope so James but I am worried about one thing that has come to my mind. Usually the 'good' or 'bad' option takes place at 5 box, but in this game it was offered at the end of the 3rd round and so on. Now this has been done before in the Easter shows with Kath and Brenda and in case anyone has forgotton, the Banker offered them the chance to double what they won at the end or go away with nothing. In other words 'Double or Nothing'. I fear the same thing could take place this week, say someone goes all the way to the end and win £10,000, the Banker could easily offer them the chance to open 1 or 2 of the bottles. Find 'Treasure Island' they double their win, find 'Desert Island' they go away with nothing. It's just an incling i've had but hopefully it won't happen.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comShe wasnt there for long, was she, only 18 shows! Anyway, I thought this game was fantastic, very unique and entertaining and I am very pleased that she was still very happy with her £4,000. It's still a lot of money and she avoided the 1p club, Im so pleased for her, Well done Carly!! :)
