Synopsis:

A reasonable start for Dale, but he seems to have the Banker's respect from the start as he gets a great opening offer. He builds on this nicely in the early stages, but then takes a hit in the 4th and 5th rounds. But Dale shows a great determination to play the game and get the most out of it, and plays on to the end even avoiding the Banker's 'Old faithful' offer at the end. Dale is well rewarded for his determination.

Probably the best game ever for me. Not only was he immensely likeable, he was funny, kind with his comments and stuck to his guns. I really thought he had blown it by turning down 26K. I cried in front of a TV for the first time since Golden Girls finished.

I thought that yesterdays player, Andy, was very annoying... everything about him frustrated me.. from his annoying playing techniques, the way he kept making people say that speech before they opened their box, and even his goofy yellow teeth annoyed me!

Definitely one of the best games ever! Dale was extremely brave to decline £26,000 on a board with £250 & £100,000 remaining. This is surely going to be in the 2011 Hall of Fame! This is game of the month unless someone can win the jackpot or take a deal that's greater than £100K.

(Spoiler) I just came in from work today and my Mum was watching DOND, she told me look at this and I saw everything. Ok I know not everyone is a gambler and I know it's different when your sat at home watching, but i'm pretty sure the whole nation of our country would have had the guts to turn down £8,000. I'm not going to drag on too much, but what I will say (which may sound a bit mean) is that I was disappointed when the £250,000 was revealed. I was hoping she'd have it so she could be in the hall of fame for the biggest Banker victory ever

I know, it was horrendous!! I've seen low offers with top 4 such as 14,000 or 15,000, but this reached new lows! It is harsh but I was hoping that the 250,000 was there too because it was just astoundingly stupid to take that offer. There is nothing positive to say about this game, it was just absolutely ridiculous :/

Just watched Million Pound Drop on 4od and the 2 best mates won £75,000. Their final question was which of these pop stars had more UK number 1 singles and the options were Michael Jackson or Madonna, and they went for Madonna (I would have gone for that as well) and won. There was also this other couple who got to the final question but got the wrong answer on a question about which of these franchises had a cinema release first. The options were Star Trek and Star Wars and they went for Star Trek (which is what I thought it was as there was a TV series and up to 10 movies) which was the wrong answer.

So, January has come to an end. What was everyone's best and worst games this month? Obviously my best is going to be Dale's game and second would be Derrick, what a great character he was and he did well to get that perfect all blue round he really needed. My worst game would have to be Sherilyn's. Not only did she deal a rubbish offer but she also dealt at 11-box. Second would be Grace. Urgh... so much dithering over £1,000.

(Spoiler) I wish deal or no deal had some more interesting players and go for it players or that deal at fair offers, Today's game was one of the most boring I've ever seen, Players should be willing to turn down 12,000 or more in that situation and he quavered at 2,000 with three big ones still there. They may be trying to save money but it effectively kills the show, but in fairness it isn't half as bad as the majority of season 4 when there may have been 5 no dealers in the whole season

(Spoiler)- What a terrible deal at 7,000! and actually getting up to 107,000! I don't think anyone has had that finale before when dealing below 10,000, I remember some games with power five finales but I don't think it's ever been less than 20,000 the player has taken, Statistically its probably the most regretted deal ever, I was really expecting the 250,000 to come out at end- The other contestants should have encouraged her to go on at least one more round, as 7,000 was very low for the board and 7,000 isn't out of the reach of saving in a year or two but to get 35,000 or 107,000 is something she will never have chance at again, It was surprising she took it so well

(Spoiler) Leanne got very demoralized after one bad round and took her lowest offer even though it was still a nice board, and yet again someone who wants to "change their lives" gives up without a fight, and I think Noel did a lot to demoralize her saying about her luck running out- he gives his advice sometimes as if he knows whats going to happen, she could have achieved all the things she wanted with £35,000, for me anyway that would be a much much bigger regret than going home with a £1 or something, it's meant to be fun too, dealing at 4,000 is just a bit boring,

i dont really understand why she dealt at £26,000 either coz if she took out the last blue the offer wouldve been atleast £20,000 which is only £6,000 less than the last offer she took.

Well this has got to be the longest run that the site hasn't been updated and, by the looks of it it doesn't look like it ever will. So what was everyone's best and worst games of February? I haven't watched any of it recently, so I haven't got a clue.

Best game of February... I would say Dylan and Adam's games purely for their go for it attitude, and worst was probably Sophie, although she was a funny character, that 7,000 deal was ridiculous

I watched today's game for the first time in, probably months, only because there was nothing else on. I was however switching over time to time, as it just seemed to drag on too long and the board wasn't great either. Oh and I saw the ending which was probably more predictable than the news going crazy over government fundings - petrol prices, student protesting and increasing unemployment. Sorry if that sounds like a silly simile, but it's the only one I can think of. I'm not as good as british leyland when it comes to using similes.

One thing I will say is that I actually think now, that these endings (which involve twists, bonuses or anything extra should the players go away with a blue) are all staged, set up in other words, as if the players actually know the Banker is going to offer some kind of gamble at the end. Take today's game for example, as soon as she found out what the gold envelope contained, I think she knew the Banker would call back anyway and provide her with a bonus anyway. And it seemed more obvious when she was pointing out to everyone how she had kept true to her word, saying she declined £3,000 to get to this point. Basically what i'm saying is I think she, Noel and everyone around her knew what was coming. That makes you think, hmmm is it a fix?

Make that FIVE times in a row. The odds of that happening were over 1 in 5 MILLION! (SPOILER)Fran's game today has got to be the WORST this month. £10,021 dealt at with £250K, £75K, £20K, £10K, £5K still there. Seriously? That offer is appalling! WHY DID YOU DEAL?! Then she had £250K in her box making her the second biggest loser on DOND!

I know, dealing at £10,021 was insane, even if she took out the 250,000 the offer could not possibly drop if it balanced out so it made no sense, In this game I would have offered £7,500, £12,500, £9,000, £19,000, £25,000 and £75,000 and I wouldn't say that they are good offers because she seemed so scared, but I've never seen such a low accepted on such a strong board, it was awful!

Apologies for posting the previous comment about the £50 twice, i didnt think it worked the first time... anyway todays game was good up until the offer of £10,021... had the £20k not been there, then the offer would be fair, but with the £20k backing up £75k and £250k, The offer should have been round about £21,000. however i'm glad she was still satisfied with the money she had.

Actually Fran holds the record for the 3rd biggest banker victory of all time . Because about 2 years ago Melanie dealt at £10,000 and had the £250,000 in her box.

If this site was running, people would notice that players have greatly lowered their expectations! It's quite frustrating as there has been power five amounts for the last few games! The amount of times power five amounts have been sold for less than 16k is really high! The 250,000 being sold for 10,021 in the situation she had is worst though, I know there are dull games where they sell the box low, but it is happening 9 times out of 10 now :(
