Synopsis:

Will Demolition Declan live up to his name today? He has had a very high number of reds while on the wings, and hopes to continue that run today. He gets off to a good start, and a worried Banker pitches a very high opening offer. Declan then goes on a little bit of a roller-coaster as the rounds start to take out some high value reds. A determined Declan ploughs on into the final round where an equally determined Banker throws in a curve-ball! After the 2nd box of the final round is opened the Banker calls and offer Declan £33,000 to leave the game at that point! This does Throw Declan, and after some thought he takes the offer. It doesn't prove a great move as Declan would have been left with a very strong final pairing and an offer from the Banker of £73,000.

I've seen some stupid decisions in my time. Declan taking £33,000 is the one of those. There's also one that the producers must have made somewhere in the gap between season two and season three.

did declan honestly believe that if he played on and took out the £100k, he'd be offered substantially less than £33k??? i'd say that with a £10k/£50k finish, the banker might have offered old faithful £26k - which is only a drop of £7k. mind u, £33k is twice the £16,500 that, as noel continues not to grasp, is one of the banker's most common offers, and works well for him more often than not

This guy is so stupid I mean what the hell, I know £33,000 is a lot of money but with 10k, 50k and 100k as the last 3 you would certainly get a decent offer no matter what. Even if the £100,000 went he would still have got an offer of £20-£25,000 only 8k less and if the 50k went he would have got an offer more than £33,000 say £40,000. So in other words he simply could not have failed to have got a good offer if had gone on. I would understand it if he had dealt at something like 50k which it should have been. I totally laughed my pants off when he dealt and left the 50k/100k.

Urgh - I hated this additional offer because the banker knew he'd have one of the biggies in his box due to his history. I switched offer after I saw the 100k 50k finish, p'd me off.

For me the stupidest decision on DOND was Di on 28 March 2007 turning down £44k at 5 box, when only the £250k was bigger, the next biggest amount on the board being £20k. Anyone who thinks that was a brave move is wrong - she hardly gave any thought to this fantastic offer, and when fellow Essex girl Kerry gave her some brilliant advice on what she should do, she pretty much ignored it. And when the £250k went in the first box of the next round, she hardly looked upset. To top it off, she dealt at £8k and had the £20k in her box. I wouldn't be all that surprised if her husband was furious with her afterwards...

But then again, although it was a great offer in Di's game, clearly she wanted to be one of few that would try to go right to the end to get the quarter mil cos u aint gonna get it by dealing early (not back then anyway). And speaking of brave no deals didn't Graeme turn down and offer of £40k+ when only the £250k was higher and next highest was £20k? It paid out for him so it just depends

Exactly Slim, although it might have been greedy it's the only way the win the £250,000 if she had dealt and had the 1/4 million in her box everyone would have been complaining then. Graeme turning down 41k was even more dramatic and tense than Di's as he had a similar board, but the gamble paid off and he was rewarded with a massive offer of 101k. Cluadine turned down an offer of 44k and was rewarded with £107,031, Daniel turned down a whopping 90 grand and still got away with 75k. Remember this game is all about risk vs reward, but sometimes it doesn't always pay off.

Oh and that just occured to me too, dealing at £33,000 was stupid lol, because a £75,000-£10,000 climax would produce an offer of £30,000 approximately so it was worth the gamble, wasnt it. Although, I woulda have dealt at the £10,000 lol.

Graeme did indeed have a very similar 5 box board to Di's, but he gave his £41k offer some thought before declining it, and also didn't ignore any advice he received. IMHO, all good DOND contestants should do these two things when they're presented with a fantastic offer in a delicate situation. Claudine and Daniel followed this example too, and so Rodney on 11 June 2007 when he turned down £35k at 5 box (being rewarded with £85k), and Morris when he turned down £101k. But Di certainly did not do either of these things, which is why her rejection of £44k was stupid rather than brave.

Declan's deal has got to be up there in the top 10 worst deals ever. He's up there with Richard's £22,500 deal, Michael's £1,000 deal (he was the one with 7 blues and the 100k), Rita's £18,444 deal, Stephen's £27,000 deal and Michaela £24,000 deal.

Well Donna was a spoilt brat in my words, she kep't blaming her boyfriend for tellling him to deal. Even though she's right, she just kep't on rubbing it in on him, what on earth did he do wrong. That crying and moaning was out of order, she had just won 21 grand for doing about 30 mins work I wish I could earn somthing like that in a matter of mins, heck I would be gratefull just to get 5 grand on the show. I just love watching her game now and again just to see how childish and stupid she looked on TV. I bet she admitts now how stupid she was and I bet her and that partner of her's have split up too.

Oh shut up, dont insult people just because they dealt. I'd so love to see how you'd feel sitting on the crazy chair, I'm sure its not the same, as sitting on your asses urging people to f****** gamble. Sorry but it pees me off when people say s*** like this.

She might have not appeared to be the sharpest tool in the box, but who do you know? Do you know her personally? Anyway, Donna was annoying I have to admit, but its not something I'd attack her for, or because she dealt really early (I would have dealt when she did too though)

I just love it when Perry loses his temper and starts reacting. He will never learn to understand that we are all people and everyone is entitled to their opinions. I'd love to see you on the show Perry, no really I would. What sob story would you have and would you deal at a mean offer.

I don't have any sob stories so there. And what YOU need to understand is, if you dont like something, DONT watch it. Thats what I did with banker's birthday week, you would never see me constantly complaining, I just avoid it, and thats all. Oh and also, I don't wanna desperatley go on the show ANYWAY.

Fair enough then but just try not to react when people are making comments about poor games. Even if they do sound a bit harsh. I'm not as bad as some people who have been on this site you know e.g. Plan Man, Lord Voldemort, Simon Cowell etc.

Plan man isnt even that bad anymore, all he does is give stats and people get pissed off at that. What the heck? Thats going too far, whenever someone else gives pointless stats, they aren't attacked, although I agree about No dealer and Voldermort.

But Plan Man gives these stats like he thinks he knows everything about DOND while the rest of us don't have a bloody clue. At least that's my reading of it. And he's also seriously spoiled a few games in the past - I don't mind James's and Joe's spoilers, but Plan Man has gone and told virtually the whole story of the game. How can you see anything good about him??
