More Cops and Robbers as the Banker's birthday shows continue. Fran takes on the Banker today, and after a roller-coaster start she is soon on track and increasing her offers. The Cops and Robbers twist goes Fran's way at 5-box and she will get an offer after every box in the final round. The Banker plays some games in all his offers in the final round by upping the offers a little just before Noel asks Fran the question! After her 1st box of the final round he offers £30,000 which is declined, after the 2nd box he offers £19,000 which is again declined, and sets up a dramatic finish on the final box.

xxxxx.perr.cable.virginmedia.comI wish there was a rule for this show where the Banker isn't allowed to ring back after he's made an offer. If he did that in my game i'd just hang it up and take the phone off the hook, although i'm sure Noel and the Banker wouldn't like that and I would risk being kicked off the show or being punished by getting a really low offer, which makes it so much easier for my decision to carry on. Back to Fran such a real shame that her bravery didn't pay off although I could see the £250,000 coming actaully as it was 4.54pm so there wasn't enough time left.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comWas there any point in that 1st comment? Anyway I agree with u 100% there joe, the banker really bugged me with that constant ringing back, and the future offers didnt really make it any better. But she was brave to go for it, I thought for a minute we were going have another corrine, but it wasn't meant to be unfortunately.
xx.26.102.126that can't be the natalie from tuesday who posted that first comment, can it? whether or not it is, i'm afraid i find myself agreeing with jem's question - is there any point in that comment? if it's intended as a reaction to fran's collapse then surely "noooooooooooo" would b better
xx.134.172.85Well, what can I say about this game. Shockingly appalling offers throughout, constant ringing back from the Banker, future offers and really bad 5,4 & 3 box offers. I mean £19,000 with £250K and 2 Blues remaining?! I would've offered £12,000, £14,500, £10,500, £18,000, £24,000, £36,000 (4 box), £45,000 (3 box) & £250. If the £250K still remained then I would've offered about £75,000. I bet the Banker would've made a pathetic offer like £45,000.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comand one can't help but wonder if this was another attempt to force a quarter millionaire here, what with the banker's offers remaining ridiculously low after the 5 box twist - even with his playing around - and in particular that £19k. surely, though, if the biggie hadn't gone in the last box, he would have offered a good bit more than the £45k he offered laura... and crikey, is noel forgetting even very recent games now? he said in response to that future offer that it had been a long time since someone went home with more than £60k - ramesh won £77k just five weeks ago...
xx.134.172.85finally, has anyone else heard that DOND is getting another two years, and they intend to film 4 shows a day rather than 3. it really does amaze me that it's still so popular - i guess the majority of people DO like the banker's gamble, future offers, additional offers, everyone dressing up for special weeks etc etc etc. and they probably don't care about noel's ever worsening memory
xx.134.172.85Yes I did hear about that news and although there are some people out there who still love this show (including me), I doubt there are loads of people who like the Banker's Gamble, future offers, special shows etc. I'm not saying there aren't but not as many and it would seem that the majority do as its current ratings are 2.2m viewers. Which is more than half of what it use to average. Remember at its peak it was watched by 5m and in those days we had no gimmicks at all, no special shows and best of all no sob stories. Contestants didn't take it too seriously back then and would play the game for their once in a lifetime opportunity. Now most people apply for this show because they desperatley need the money and it seems that sob stories are a necesarry requirement to apply for the show. Anyway back to present, just a couple more shows to go and then hopefully we can have some good games again next week.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comI agree with Joe. All the contestants now seem sooooooo desperate for the money - I'd be happy to go on the show, have the experience of a lifetime and go away with a few hundred quid!! In fact, I think I'd even pay to be on the show it would be such a great experience. And the sob stories do get annoying, but at the same time you do see some amazing people who you really feel deserve the money. Let's just remember how amazing Deal Or No Deal is and not moan too much about it - we'd miss it if it went off air!
xx.146.177.91and I reckon they're increasing the number of shows because they probably had so many applicants for the recent contestant appeal.
xx.146.177.91argh! just when somebody had the courage to go for it!!
