Synopsis:

Day 3 of the EGGstravaganza today! It's a horrible start Gemma, but she has earned the banker's respect and gets a nice opening offer f £7,000. Two all blue rounds start to turn things around for Gemma and the offer leaps to £16,000, but Gemma plays on. At the end of the next round the banker puts an egg twist with the offer of £13,000, and if Gemma opens 1 egg and finds the good egg she will receive £31,000! Gemma decides to carry on with her game. After another good round the offer jumps to £25,000, but again if she finds the good egg this will jump to £40,000! But Gemma plays on again! Unfortunately she hits the big one in the last round, and the offer drops to £8,000 with the chance to double this if she can find the good egg. Gemma bravely declines this offer and goes on to open her box, and is rewarded by revealing £35,000.

Very interestingly, Noel didn't bring up this game at the start of the next one (Matty's heart-shatterer, as it turned out) - this is just my suggestion, but it's possible that even though Gemma did win £35k, there was still some sort of a sense of disappointment afterwards, because if Brian hadn't revealed the big one, £35k would then have been the LEAST she would have won, and the eggs aside, the Banker could very well have offered her something six figures.

That is, if Brian had had the 100 quid rather than the quarter mil. But it just goes to show that this is a game of chance.

Yeah, but Gemma would have probably gambled it, and then 'only' won £35k, making it a real anti-climax - whereas this was a true gamble that paid off :)

Well, what if Gemma's offer had been something like £100k and an egg, and if she found the good egg her winnings would increase to £150k? She would have probably had to sum up even more courage than she did to turn this down in the hope of joining Laura's club.
