Synopsis:
Final show of Season 5, and Haj takes the chair to try and finish the season on a high. Unfortunately he doesn't get off to a great start and is punished early by the Banker. An all-blue 3rd round soon gets him back on track, but is short lived as he crashes again in the next round. The Banker throws in his 'bottle' twist at the end of the 4th round by offering £4,000 + 1 bottle, and if Haj finds the 'TREASURE ISLAND' the offer is tripled to £12,000, but Haj doesn't take him up on this. The 5th round doesn't improve things for Haj, but the Banker does throw in another bottle twist at the end of the round, and if Haj can find the 'TREASURE ISLAND' he is allowed to play the final round 1 box at a time. Haj manages to find the correct bottle and decides to play on one box at a time. After the 1st box of the final round Haj is offered £2,500, but declines the offer, after the 2nd box he is offered £2,000 but again declines the offer. Unfortunately for him he hits his final red in the last box and is left with an all-blue finish. The Banker ends the series on a high though by giving both Haj and Linda a holiday each.

Haj's game was on Sunday not Monday. Anyway time for my best and worst games of the season but first i'll do my best and worst games of the month. Well there weren't any outstanding games this month but I would probably say that Kelly's is the best purely for creating such a strong 5 box, the worst game for me is Haj.

My best games of the season are Corinne, Caine and Ramesh.

xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.com(commenting from new york again BTW) well i've been largely away from DOND for two months, and it looks like the only really good thing i've missed is del's 70k win. otherwise i've missed out on nothing - yet more boring games, yet more gimmicks, yet more forced wins, yet more unoriginal special twists, and a season finale that was somewhat appropriate. there is no question whatsoever that season 5 has been the poorest yet, even though there were one or two occasions when it did seriously threaten to become good - especially at the time corinne played. it is, however, topped off by no-one winning more than 77k (if i'm right in thinking, there hasn't been a six-figure payout in any way since alice) and, as james has just pointed out, a poor average. i'll bet, though, that noel and the producers will disagree entirely - and they'd better not say that it was the best season ever, CAUSE IF THEY DO... but TBH, i've pretty much grown tired of DOND now. from what this season has produced, it seems that the show's just not going to go back to its old ways, and that the gimmicks, forced wins, forced happy endings, unoriginal special twists et cetera et cetera et cetera are just going to go on, and on, and on, and ariston... plus seriously good games are going to become ever more few and far between, and noel's memory is going to keep on getting worse. i've also grown a bit tired of the continued inadequacies of this site, particularly its consistent inability to do a certain thing which i won't describe. nowadays, i much prefer watching countdown and also pointless, the chase, and a question of genius - all much more fun and no need to worry about gimmicks, forced wins or anything irritating. i will probably watch the first episode of season 6, though, to see if there might be anything different. but here's a funny thing - i'm not surprised about another season, or that noel is doing another hall of fame, but i am surprised that viewing figures still appear to be holding up. how on earth can so many people STILL like the show even when it's clearly going off the boil?!? and also bear in mind that channel 4 and endemol kept turning out new series of big brother even when viewing figures were clearly in a tailspin and it was clear that the general reaction to the show was no longer good

I am actually serious, the 3 games this week have been some of my most hated games, haven't bothered to watch them, could they not even play good games from this season? Some of them may not be everyone's favourites but it would be a lot more entertaining than whats been on so far and it would make up 4 weeks no problem- Noel just wants games with banker's gambles, double or nothing and I think that will be all the games chosen :(
xx.146.91.1Normally I wouldn't mind watching some classic games if they were going to be from seasons 1, 2 and even 3 for that matter, but they are only from September 2008 to July 2010 which in my opinion are the weakest. It looks like most of these repeats are just going to be games full of gimmicks that took place in special shows, which obviously Noel has a very annoying liking for. I wouldn't be surprised if Alice is shown again at the expense of Corinne.

xx.144.141.233I've got something to tell you all, i've decided that i'm not going to watch DOND anymore as i'm fed up of all the things that british leyland pointed out in comment 5. Sob stories, gimmicks (which include offer after every box, future offers and Banker's Gamble), force big wins, special shows Noel's bad presenting, Noel's bad memory and Noel's obsession with annoying players and gimmicks. I've tried to put up with it but this has gone on far enough now and it doesn't seem like it will ever go back to the way it use to be, unless there is a petition, a demand from millions of viewers but I highly doubt it will happen. There are hardly any normal games anymore as they tend to be filled with gimmicks too. Season 5 was terrible, well except for Corinne, Caine, Ramesh and even Del for that matter but that's it and i've got a feeling that Season 6 is just going to be filled with even more gimmicks, so many that eventually every single episode will be gimmick loaded. Deal or No Deal was a great show and I will never forget those good old days from seasons 1 and 2 (although i'm sure Noel has) where there were no gimmicks, no sob stories, no special shows, just normal players who wanted to play the game and enjoy their time but after 4 years I hearby announce that I am no longer watching this show. If I hear there has been a really really good game or someone has won big like over £100,000 or another quarter millionaire like Laura then I may watch it. I will still visit the fansite just to see how it's going and if people are still bothered and if James will continue to give us updates on averages or anything important, although he rarely comments on this fansite and I think he and british leyland have stopped watching this show and I don't blame them one bit. On a last note I will say goodbye DOND and R.I.P seasons 1 and 2 you will be missed. P.S Thank you Noel, Mr Banker and the producers for ruining what use to be a great entertaining drama gameshow into a show that is more predictable than Jeremy Kyle full of people's pathetic tragedies, financial issues and all other nonsense stories that we hardly need to know about or care. Oops i'm doing it again and going to far lol. Bye.

I may watch the first season just to see if anything is different. Maybe a new look (which they haven't done since the beginning of season 3). I think it would be good if they changed the money values a bit, the top prize is still £250,000 but the second highest could be £125,000, then £90,000 etc. Why not eh, they did it with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Still though the hall of fame could have a been a bit better, there were some games that I wouldn't have picked. My hall of fames would have been players like Laura, Morris, Daniel, Gaz, Keran, Graeme etc. Anyway as british leyland pointed out I will probably watch the first episode just to see what it's like, if there are any changes like new stage or different money values but apart from that that's it. If I hear there was a really, really good game then I'll watch it but I ain't gonna bother watching games overloaded with gimmicks and I won't be watching the special shows either. Fingers crossed though first game on Monday will hopefully be good.
