It's the start of the Scrooge or Santa specials, and the Banker appears to be in a generous mood this year as there are 2 Santa's hidden and only 1 Scrooge. If/when the contestant gets to 5-box they get the chance to find the Santa and if they do they will win an instant prize of a holiday and if they decide to play on they will get an offer after every box in the final round. If they find Scrooge they play on as normal, but the Banker gets to look inside their box! Harry is first to take up the Christmas challenge, and gets off to a great start. However the game turns on him straight away, and he crashes in the very next round before making a small recovery. Harry seems destined to reach the 5-box stage and the Scrooge or Santa twist, and he does get some luck in finding SANTA. This wins him an instant holiday which is to Spain, and also an offer after every box in the final round. Harry plays on and after the 1st box of the final round is offered £10,000, but Harry declines this. After the 2nd box Harry is offered £2,000, and Harry again declines this. After the 3rd box Harry is offered £7,200, and again declines this to open his box.

The theme is absolutely terrible! Santa vs Scrooge has gone from really good in 2007 to absolutely awful in 2009, If you miss these games just read the report because with Noel's stupid sayings about toy shops and the ridiculous outfits you would really not be missing anything
xx.27.2.1972 Santas and a Scrooge? IS the Banker even trying?! And what's with the blatant advertising?!
xxxxx.bb.sky.comFor those who saw the trailer in which Noel mentioned a Christmas Gamble, I have a theory on what that will be. Someone will deal before they get to five-box, and at the end of the game the Banker will employ the unused Scrooge v Santa set-up to offer a double or nothing scenario, with Santa meaning double and Scrooge meaning nothing. Of course, as it's twice as likely that the money will be doubled it will be a forced big win so I can see it happening.
xxxxx.as43234.netI really really hope that doesn't happen, it's like the easter egg crap last year though so it is probably likely and what is with the two santas and one scrooge, since they decided not to use more numbers to hide the scrooge and santa it should be even as the chances are that there will be a majority of santa discoveries, if they do banker gambles and the santa vs scrooge gimmick it will really really affect the shows popularity in a negative way
xx.27.2.197This game was ok to start off with, the only thing I didn't like is when the Banker started messing around with everyone that £35,000 was in box 9 (Harry's birthday box). Another obvious attempt of the Banker trying (and failing) to impress viewers. With regards to that Christmas Gamble that I also saw in the trailer, that's a possibility or it could just be a normal Banker's Gamble but as it's a special show Noel will make up a silly new name for it. I just hope that he doesn't accept it and if he does, then I hope he wins the lesser amount.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comNoel Once said he couldn't Wear an Head Outfit, Remember Big Ron's game. He gave everyone (including Noel) an Bandana. Noel Wouldn't/couldn't wear it & gave it to the camera man. NOW we have Noel wearing an Elf's Hat Say no more
