The Banker then offered Irene to swap box number 4 with box number 22. Irene accepted the Bankers offer.

Irene had 1p in box number 4, however as Irene swapped the box Irene had box number 22 which had 50p. The highest opportunity to deal was £6,500.

The remaining box belonged to Jasmin with box number 4 which had 1p.

(This is Irene's box.)

Summary:

Dealt at: 50p
Amount in their Box: 1p
Highest Offer: £6,500
Lowest Offer: 24p

Synopsis:

A game with absolutely no luck for Irene today. Taking out the top amount in the opening round and then continually picking off high reds throughout keeps the offers low and gives Irene little choice but to play on. The Seaside Special twist doesn't even go her way allowing the Banker to look inside her box at the end of the 5th round. A last ditch SWAP in an attempt to turn things at the end fails as well.

I felt so sorry for Irene she deserved to go away with much more than 50p, unfortunatley she never got to the big money. Amazing that the Banker was telling the truth all along just like he did in Dot's game. This is what he is suppose to be doing, giving as little as possible (but not too little) and not as much as possible.

just to correct u there joe, the banker didn't tell the truth about what was in dot's box - cheating her out of 1k as a result

and does anyone else notice how contestants named irene seem to always have rotten luck? there have been 3 so far and they have won a fiver, 52p and 50p respectively. and the synopsis isn't wrong when it says that the swap this irene carried out failed - it cost her the honour of being in the 1p club

and lastly, if irene had decided to deal at 24p, i wonder if the banker would have retired that offer, just as he retired the 17p offer in rachel's game on 29 june?

I would love for the banker to retire an offer which I dealt at. It would make my cheque even more special. It has to be if I deal at something like 9p or something ofcourse.
