That's ok british leyland, as I said before everyone on this site is entitled to their own opinions and observations regardless of how miserable or moaning you are. Some people such as No Dealer, Lord Voldemort and many more take it too seriously. Perry started having a go at me the other day, although he's right were are all different and you to respect that.

Good game today, I didn't think he would get anywhere near £11,000. I personally think he offered too much to be honest, I would have offered just £8,000 especially with the 1p on the board. The future offer bit just ruined it, the Banker should just forget it because they always deal anyway. No one has ever said No Deal when they're informed of what the next offer will be.

28 FRI 19 JUN 5:26 PM
Joe said...

First Plan Man the owner of this site has had technical problems with his Internet connection recently. That's why this site is lagging off, there are no pictures of players or videos in some games either. Second no one can remember who dealt at less than £1,000 and we don't really care. Third in today's came I lost count at how many sob stories there were, although the £16,500 was a good offer and I would've taken it. The game was ruined by all the gimmicks.

xxxxx.bb.sky.com
29 FRI 19 JUN 5:29 PM
Joe said...

Also there could have been another gimmick as well if he left the 10p with the £100,000. The most pointless one of all though is the future offers, because they always deal anyway so what's the whole point.

xxxxx.bb.sky.com
30 FRI 19 JUN 9:46 PM
british leyland said...

(spoiler) and it wasn't just the future offer and the sob stories that made today's game bad - for the zillionth time noel did not acknowledge the fact that £16,500 is one of the banker's most common offers, and it was the banker's turn to insist that the 1p kiss is done properly, and when it was they played barry blinking white. (he was a great singer, but this was way OTT). it's clear that amy's game was just a flash in the pan, as DOND's slide goes on and on and on (and ariston)... :)

xx.134.150.239
31 FRI 19 JUN 10:30 PM
Joe said...

That's why I would never get on DOND nowadays. Not because I want to, but because of the simple fact that I don't have a sob story to tell, no great expectations and I would want a normal, clean, free gimmick game.

I'm afraid not, ever since the phone in scams the viewers competition has been closed and that has affected the offers dramatically. Also the Banker doesn't just base his offers on the board, he bases them on player too. With some players they reveal too many emotions and great expectations which gives the Banker the advantage because he knows then that he can get them very cheap, so there's no point in giving high offers. That's why i've always said that you should never, ever reveal your greatest ambitions and expectations on the show. I would keep a positive attitude, show no emotions (a bit like a poker face) and MOST CERTAINLY ask no one for advice. I would make my own decisions.

I think the offers have started to improve actually. Last year the opening offers would be around £7,500 to £10,000. And if they did an all blue round in the next round he would only increase it a few grand for example from £10,000 to £12,500. Although I remember in the old days the Banker would make offers of £30,000 in the 2nd/3rd rounds, I don't think that would ever happen anymore and that's not a bad thing really. In Matty's game his 2nd offer was 35 grand after he did 2 all blue rounds. For me that was too high, as it seemed obvious that he would deal, even though he didn't.

Another terrible game today. First poor offers throughout the game, second the sob stories, third Noel asks his partner to come down and BLOODY TELL HIM TO DEAL!!! and finally the Banker's Gamble could have been offered with the £250,000 at the end. THANK GOD THE 1P WENT. From now on everyone we are going to see more boring people become quarter millionaire's because of the Banker's Gamble and not bravery. Noel's reaction at the end was wierd as well "I don't know what I wanna see" the Banker and Noel obviously love the B/G and it's worse for the Banker. He doesn't care about giving money away now. Anyone who is thinking about applying for the show, just deal and then hope you leave the 250k with the 1p, because then you'll have a 50/50 chance of winning it.

There's only a few more weeks to go until the summer break, which will include a final week of Summer Specials OMG. For the first time ever i'm not actually bothered about this, there have hardly been any exiting games in Season 4, well ones that haven't been forced anyway. I think for Season 5 we could do with a new Banker and Noel needs to sort out his presenting styles, it's really bugging me now. We could do with a voting election, ALL IN FAVOUR OF CHANGING THE BANKER AND GETTING RID OF THESE GIMMICKS SAY I.

AYE! and i'm also in favour of the warm-up pieces being changed - the ones where noel "delves into the players' files" are tiresome now. u just know the thing he says about the last player he comes to will b a joke, and it won't b a funny one. even richard whiteley's puns were better! and in response to james's comment, i'm afraid i have to agree a laura situation is never going to happen again, and i wouldn't say no to another alice situation not being far away - yet if it did happen, it probably STILL wouldn't put the banker off offering his gamble

Perry is right, the Banker's gamble is ok as long as it's used consertivately, but i do think the future offers do ruin things a bit. I still think they should ban the hypothetical swaps as well (and the hypo swap isn't a recent thing, it started way back in March 2006 with Candice)

But the Banker's Gamble clearly removes the whole point of saying "No Deal". You may as well say "Deal" and then hope you leave a big number to the end, because then you'll have a one in two shot at winning more. Where as if you say "No Deal" you risk either winning a blue or winning a red. As for Swaps, I don't actually mind that because it doesn't ruin the gameplay too much, but only when they're offered at the beginning or the end.

well i'm not too gone on the hypothetical swaps at the end when one of the remaining two boxes is the 250k. noel does say that if u reach this situation in live play u always get the swap, but with the odd contestant u cannot b sure if they really would have swapped, or if they 'know' they have the 250k in front of them and don't want to b at the receiving end of a massive banker victory. think of martyne earlier on this season for instance (who i wasn't too gone on anyway because she was a bit on the mouthy side)
