Wow!! What else can be said about this game... It game has been such a rollercoaster of emotions. The final offer with £5 & £75,000 was simply a Box Swap as Julie had mentioned she did not believe she had the £75,000.

My friends are right **** For the past week you may have noticed I said "Im waiting for a big money game" I came home from work at 6. Was gonna watch DOND online...and guess what? My other mate calls up and says OH WOW, THE WOMEN TODAY WON 75 GRAND! All the tension was taken away when I watched it :( She was a lovely lady! Funny how he offers the box swap when it's between £75,000 and one of his power 5. Last time he did it, was on PJ's game!! I really thought she had done a PJ though...but remembered once again...oh yeah she wins £75,000! Many people said the game was fixed - I couldn't care less. I just like games with the climax of which Julie provided (although it wasnt for me) but you know what I mean :D
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukIt was clearly the most epic game of the season so far, although I'm 99% certain that had the Banker offered money rather than the swap, Julie would have accepted it - as always seems to be the case in big money games nowadays - and I'm 99.5% certain that had Julie won the £5, the Banker would have provided her with a Bonus - the excuse being that he felt guilty for offering the swap. Rings a bell.
xxxxx.as43234.netThey'll do anything to make the contestants gamble! I heard the rating went down...so they needed a big money game! I'm not saying it is fixed, but has it ever occured to you that the banker is offering lower to force people to carry on? Even his mean offers seem to get accepted. I remember when DOND was new, £30,000 offers were being decline with an "average" board. If a recent contestant plays, they'd snatch anything close to it!
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukWorst episode ever!, Awful common contestant who didn't deservedly win, i hope she loses the cheque, i was so hoping she would win the blue. I might stop watching after, i've had enough of seeing common people win money,
xxxxx.lutn.cable.ntl.comWhat I do not understand is, that people like Mark and Pete won 5p between themselves, yet they did not get any bonuses, whereas Claire actually DEALT and still got a bonus? I am not saying, that its okay to give bonuses to anyone (even 1p members) because it takes away the idea of people going home with "peanuts" If we knew if someone won 1p, and were guranteed a bonus, it would take most of the climax away! Don't get me wrong, sometimes it adds a twist, but the banker is getting carried away! I also find it amusing how they stopped referring to £26,000 as ol' faithful! I think that just just something to add climax to anti-climaxes! The 4th season hasn't started very well, and if the banker went back to the way he was in season 1-2, the rating would go up. I mean Graham was offered £101,000 when it was between £250,000 and £5,000 whereas Matt was offered "only" £60,000 when it was between £250,000 and £3,000! He also offered Jennifer Miller £120,000 with a £750-1/4million climax!
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukOh which leads me onto another suggestion, whenever someone did an all blue round in the first two seasons they would be offered something between £16,000-£25,000! Whereas, in the 3rd and 4th season, and all blue opening offer only gets an offer of £8,000-£12,500! I know I'm just giving information which you guys know about...(maybe not)...but I just want to get all this off my chest lol. :D
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukYou like to rabbit on a bit don't you
xxxxx.lutn.cable.ntl.comfantastic game today. From the iutset what was looking to be a complete disaster she swung the game right around at the end. I also genuinely thought that she was going to pick box 7 at the end but thank god that she didn't. well done julie.
xxxxx.lei3.cable.ntl.comYES! Yes, yes, yes! Exactly what the show so badly needed - a huge money payout. And a titanic game to go with it. Now is the spark about to return for sure, or is it just going to be another flash in the pan?
xx.134.130.245Anyway, Julie was a delightful lady, a whole lot of fun, and of course a seriously great contestant - it may have taken until the third round for the energy to come in, but when it did, it became clear that she seriously meant business, especially standing up to the Banker's taunts and saying it straight out that £2,500 left her with no choice but to go on. Quite a contrast to a number of other contestants this season! But yet again you've got it absolutely spot on James - had she won the £5, or the Banker not offered the PJ-style swap, it almost definitely wouldn't have been so epic then. In the end, though, she fully deserved every penny of her £75k. Very well played and many congratulations Julie! x
xx.134.130.245I'm tempted to call this a one off. I really wasn't that enamoured with her.
xx.107.1.85There was something not right here. What did she do to not get an ultimate cash offer ? And why was there no debate about that ? Like James I think she would have taken what would normally have been offered in a £5-£75,000 climax. After all, she had been tempted by the 12.5K. So unlike Betty and Laura, she did not prove her bravery before her big win, which was disappointing. We want to see bravery rewarded, or recklessness punished, but not this. It was all very unconvincing. No more like this please.
xxxxx.easynet.co.ukMust admit that the show didn't have the same 'feel' to it as previous £75,000 wins, most likely because of the final offer. The Banker must have realised that the show's ratings very much needed the help of a big money win, which would explain why Julie's big win felt so 'forced'.
xxxxx.as43234.netWell, even if it did feel 'forced', it was still the most exciting game for ages and ages.
xx.134.133.41Quite surprising that Julie is the first £75,000 winner in over 13 months (or 11 months if Chris from Hallowe'en is counted even though his total winnings came to £76,000), considering that there have been 8 (plus Chris) overall.
xxxxx.as43234.netYeah, I'm known for "rabbiting" on! Sorry!
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukBy the way if anyone knows... how many people have won £35k £50k £100k ? I know 3 have one £100k...but not sure. Sorry for this random question...but I'm intrigued to know. (If you do know - do not include people who dealt. Because they are not really counted to be in the "club" if they dealt at (eg. £35k)
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukI keep forgetting to write my name is. Above comment was made by me: DOND
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukARRGH. I apologise for my crap grammer. Meant to write: I forget to write my name. Forget the word 'IS' was put in that sentance!
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukFive people have won more than £100k. Three people have won £100k. Two people have won between £75k and £100k. Nine people have won £75k (five of whom went to the end). Six people have won £50k by going to the end. Four people have won £35k by going to the end. Hope that answers your question, dond :D
xxxxx.as43234.netWow thanks!! Yet theres 17 or 18 1p members? Lol - but I know there just as likely to come to the table (1p or £250,000) but its "easier" to win 1p, as usually the 1p winners have had a crappy ending offer and go till the end wheras, 250k provides an offer of 50k. Only someone like Bill Gates would decline 50k plus ;) Thanks a lot! (y)
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukThis must be the first game in a long while to attract more than 20 comments..!
xxxxx.as43234.netIf a player's winnings are directly proportional to their weight, then this game was spot on!
xxx.219.116.206Yes, she swapped it for £75K but that does not count because it was originally not on the table so it's journey still continues :(
