That 20k offer sure was clever, but the scenes that followed were not at all dissimilar to those at the end stages of Matty's game. Still, Karl won so much more than what many contestants recently have managed, and no doubt he and his family can do a lot with 20k.

Of course, immediately after this no-one could have guessed that it would happen in the next four games as well that the Banker would get a player out with a very clever offer - and it would lead to Louise and Lance also missing out on being quarter millionaires, and Carol squandering the chance of having 100k.
