Can the big money wins continue in today's Christmas special? Lauren takes the chair to try and continue the great run. She gets off to a good start, and keeps the momentum going all the way to 5-box, where she keeps up the pressure by finding Santa, meaning that if she plays on she gets an offer after EVERY box in the final round. The £30,000 doesn't tempt Lauren as she aims higher in the final round. She takes a hit after the 1st box and the offer drops to £21,000, so Lauren plays on. After a great 2nd box the offer leaps to £51,000, and gives Lauren a dilemma, but she again decides to play on with still the top 2 in play. The 3rd box really sets her back as she takes out the big one, and the offer plummets to £13,000. Lauren bravely declines this and really builds up the tension in an all or nothing finish.

Oh dear. Just when we thought big wins couldn't be any more forced, Lauren's game comes along and the Banker - through a combination of gimmickry and horrendous offers - forces her to go to the end. This may have been the best week in terms of money given away, but it's been by far the worst in terms of the quality of the show.
xxxxx.as43234.netJames, I'm inclined to agree though I feel rather suspicious about the nature of Lauren's win, her tactics did not ring true. Why did she not seem to agonise much at turning down £51K ? And why would the banker offer only £12K when Betty (May 5) got a £19K offer at the corresponding point when she had £100K and £1 remaining.
xxxxx.easynet.co.ukI have to agree with every word there James i was dissapointed too. I'm happy that she won, its not her i'm angry at it's the banker. Whenever he forces them to go on it spoils the drama and tension of the show. Those last 3 offers were poor i mean come on £30,000 when you've got 35k,100k and 250k remaining and an offer after each box That offer should have been at least 50k. Even when she took out 35k she still had the top biggest numbers and gets a lousy offer of £21,000 when a fair is about 35-40k. When she takes out 10p goes she gets an offer of £51,000 ok that's decent but really i felt the offer should have beem between 60-70k.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comThen the banker says he will only offer 3 grand if the 250 goes, erm hello £3,000 when it's between a blue and 100k that would just be an insult, personally i would have just gone all the way at that point if he had offered that and when she does take out the 250 the banker decides to give her £10,000 more so what, it's still rubbish and that's what i don't like about this show. If this had been a season 2 or even season 3 the offers would without a doubt have been more.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comDid Anyone else Notice, That at the end of Lauren's Game (When Noel was Summing up & walking away before the credits were rolling). Lauren's Box Was back to front on the Table.
xxxxx.cable.ubr09.smal.blueyonder.co.ukOh I am glad I missed it. Even if it was a £100,000. Urgh 4 winners of this club, but I wouldn't count this one actually because as James said it was full of all these gimmicks.
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukwheres the video for this game i missed it :(
xxxxx.range86-141.btcentralplus.comI'm afraid the owner of this site has had a lot of problems with his internet access recently. That's why we can't see the videos or any pictures of the contestants. So for now we'll just have to grin and bear it until it gets fixed.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comBtw Fatima get your facts straight, Betty had 100k and 10quid and Lauren was offered 13k not 12k.
