Last show of the Banker's Birthday specials today, and Liam takes to the chair. It is a game full of twists and mind games from both the Banker and Liam at the 5-box clown stage, although it's a bit of a roller-coaster getting there. At the 5-box clown stage Liam finds the 'Funny' clown straight away so the Banker doesn't get to look inside any boxes. He offers £26,000, but Liam toys with him by offering him the chance to look in a box if he will tell him what the possible next offers will be! The Banker takes up this offer and looks inside 1 box and tells Liam he will offer £31,000 if he reveals a blue next. Liam decides to play on and does reveal the blue and the Banker keeps his word, however the £31,000 isn't enough to move Liam and he plays on. After the next box the Banker initially offers £45,000, but after Liam says that is a mistake the Banker raises it to £60,000, and this is enough for Liam. The proveout round doesn't go well however and Liam would have been facing a final offer of £100,000! He then says he would have swapped at the end and this produces even more drama as the £250,000 is revealed.

xxxxx.as43234.netIt became so obvious that he was going to deal and the Banker didn't need to offer an additional 15k at that point. What is wrong with you Mr Banker. This episode was terrible what with the "gimmicks" and for allowing the Banker to open one of his boxes just to find out what the next offer was, I mean what the hell is going on. Are these players thick or something, Noel has mentioned many, many times "Never enter a negotiation with him". I most certainly would have gambled at 45k at that point, 15 or 20k is still a great sum of money to walk away with. Probably would have dealt at £100,000 though. Sorry for rabbiting on there by the way.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comThe stupidest thing about that negotiation is that the Banker normally gives the player a future offer for free, and yet Liam agreed to let the Banker look in a box for one. Stephen Hawking he ain't.
xxxxx.as43234.netWOW, £60,000. Well done Liam. Whoever you where, sorry I didn't remember him on the wings.
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukWhy do people hate on players at the drop of the hat? I don't understand. One year ago we had players that would've taken the fourth offer regardless of the board, as though it was a highly impressive offer. Now we have players that look at the board and play the game, and yet games that look and feel impressive in my eyes are shunned by everyone else. I don't understand it. Good job, Liam, you deserve that 60k! I would've dealt, too.
