Today Scary Mary has her chance for the £250,000 and after Friday's game we are hopeful the bad luck that had surrounded the last 2 weeks of games had turned around. It certainly seemed like that but after a taunt from the Banker, Mary lost the 2 boxes she tried to keep in the game.

It seems that sob stories have now become a necessary requirement to become a DOND contestant.
xxxxx.as43234.netNevertheless, it was a shame to see the £250,000 go in the last round - when was the last time an active player got to the last two with the £250,000 in play?
xxxxx.as43234.netI believe that was back in March with Matt.
xx.134.132.175his game was relli good. 60k...WOW
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukwhat's with 10K offer? it shouldve been 20K minimum!
xxxxx.range86-129.btcentralplus.com20k...?!?!?! r u mad? with potentially a 1p box....20k??!!? she only had 250k, 35k, 20k and 15k!! a back up blok and 1.4 mil in oda words. If she tuk out the 1/4 mil, the max wud be 35k... NOT what the banker wants.
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukif noel kept refering to mary as scary mary despite wot the other contestants thought, then why wasnt it rubbed in with creepy organ music or something like that? as 4 her age i'd say she's about 50
xx.134.136.39Actually one could argue that the last player to be in live play at the last two boxes with £250k still in play was Jess (2nd Jul), because although she had dealt at the fifth offer of £40k, the Banker offered the Banker's Gamble, which brought her back into live play, and an effective sixth offer of £40k.
xxxxx.as43234.netAlso, didn't Trevor Bruce who became the 2nd member of the 1p club lose the £250,000 as the last red? And Lee who was offered a fish and chip dinner for two?
