Synopsis:

Grass eating Mary takes on the banker today! As confetti falls from the roof, everyone wonders if this is a good omen for the game... But it's not a great start, as it's nearly an all red round, which makes it easy for the banker to offer £3,000, he tries to sweeten the deal by throwing in a lawnmower as well!! Mary plays on with determination, and despite hitting large reds in all the rounds she gets improving offers. They climb steadily to £20,000, where the banker plays some games and sticks on the offer, but Mary decides to play on while the £250,000 is still in play. This goes in the final round and turns it into an all or nothing game. With an offer of £2,750 on the table, Mary shows great courage to play on and open her box, where she is duly rewarded.

I'm not sure... I would have given £20,000 the second time a lot more thought, especially when the only thing bigger than that was the £250,000.

But then, Mary did show her feelings at losing the quarter-million and then recovering to 10k. On the other hand, contestants like Di and Ioanna were horribly indifferent when their games crashed after they'd turned down offers that had much more reason to be accepted, and they didn't give much consideration to - and they lost out on more money than Mary did.

i think mary and those who wanted her 2 go 4 it might have got carried away by the confetti that came down earlier on - otherwise there would have been a more cautious air when she was offered £20k the 2nd time

quite a lot of people this year 2007 had turned down £20,000 when the £250,000 is in play at five box
