A fantastic opening round for Mel which receives a high first offer. Unfortunately things stutter from there and after a small improvement in the next round a slow crash starts with the offer halving all the time! A nice recovery in the 5th round gives Mel a life-line, although it also gives her a problem as she agonises over what to do. She finally decides to take the money on offer, although does start to regret this when her highest amount remaining stays in play. This gives the Banker the perfect chance to wheel out his 'Banker's Gamble' Which Mel accepts, and hands back her previous deal of £10,000 to open her box and win the contents! With great relief and celebration it proves a good move as the £50,000 is revealed.

Well there always has to be a worst game of the month. It's a close run thing between the first Easter Special and this game, but becuase this includes a manufactured big win, it has to be this one.
xxxxx.as43234.netAwful game this, and after 2 great games befor as well. I'm sorry but she does not count as one of the £50,000 club. I'm not mad at her, she's a lovely person but the banker is out of order. Only the bravest and determined players deserve to win the big money in my eyes. Barry's £50,000 win has got to be the best if anyone remembers. This show must be attracting some critisim for allowing the player win more and make it much easier, when all the previous players would try and most would fail.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comsurely, recession or no recession :) the banker has to think twice now about offering his gamble - the last 2 times he's done so, it's cost him £300k...
xx.134.208.219Also £14,000 was a crap 2nd offer, with 7 numbers higher than that as well it should have been in the 20s and the £10,000 offer was rubbish too. Probably because she was young and a student that the banker didn't think she was prepared to gamble. Why is it that young people on this show are very cautious, i'm 19 and I most certainly would have gone to the end but that depends on what the final offer would really have been had it been between £1 and £50,000 and it definatley would have been more than 10k.
xxxxx.bb.sky.com"Why is it that young people on this show are very cautious?" Well that certainly applied to Ty...
xxx.157.1.184Sean Ty didn't really have a strong board throughout her game. Her highest offer was only £13,500 although it's a lot of money it doesn't really count as one of the biggest No Deals. At least her game didn't involve the B/G.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comBut Ty was cautious when she was faced with a £100/£20k climax and the Banker stuck at £4,500... and I'll say it again, she was wrong to say that was an excellent offer
xxx.157.1.184I think the offer would have been more if she declined 10k to be honest about 15k and it doesn't make a difference to me if the gamble she took would have been the offer anyway, I still think it's unfair.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comAt last! A Power Five amount won! :D
