The start of the Banker's birthday week sees a COPS and ROBBERS theme to the week with the contestant being able to choose how the twist works should they still be in live-play at the 5-box stage. Paul steps up first to take on the Banker in his birthday special. He gets off to a great start and builds his offers nicely. He takes a big hit in the 5th round just before the birthday twist, and chooses to take the COPS twist which would give him an offer after every box. He manages to find the WIN in box A and gets an offer after every box in the final round. After the 1st box of the round the Banker offers £19,500, and after a lot of thought Paul takes the offer. It proves a great move as he hits the £250,000 in the 2nd box of the round and the offer would have plummeted to £950, and after the final box of the round the offer would have been £1,400.

A great start to the bankers birthday week yes the offers cudve been better but I rele liked this game enjoy £19,500 Paul.
xxxxx.range86-150.btcentralplus.comWell prepare for the ice age meltdown as i'm sure loads of you are gonna talk about the offers, gimmicks and the future offer bit. I wasn't surprised tbh as it's expected on a special show. The only bit I really hated was when the Banker kept on ringing to try and force him to go on. Also does anyone here agree with me that Noel nowadays always tries to get the Banker to ring back. For example when he said "Imagine what the next offer would be if the next box was £100", he did that on purpose to get the Banker to ring back. On a good note he picked the 'good' option and did the right deal at the right time which surprised me.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comOh and in case anyone is interested my offers would've been £10,000, £17,500, £26,000, £35,000, £16,000, £28,000 at 4 box and £2,000 at the last 2 boxes.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.com2days game was ok but it cud have been better if the offers were a bit higher and if the banker didnt ring constantly... and a thot it was a wee bit pointless when the banker put liam in jail just coz he had the 1p and when he put steve in aswell justt coz he had the 1/4 mill... but anyway like joe said at least he picked the good option. enjoy £19.500 and spend it wisely lol.
xx.26.102.126I would have offered £8,500, £15,000, £22,500, £25,000, £17,500, £30,000, £1,000, £1,850- The offer of £12,000 was awful, even a bit low for that scenario with 3 more blues
xx.151.115.135well at least the producers have seen sense and made the 5 box twist at least some bit different this time round. not all that much different, mind, but different all the same
xx.134.169.8I think we'll find that the real reason for the player having a choice between two pairs of items is so that there's still a pair left at the end for a double or nothing gamble. Just an inkling.
xxxxx.readingconnect.netWe can only hope that the banker doesn't take that in 2 consideration, but he most likely will...
xxxxx.in-addr.btopenworld.comCould anyone tell me what happened in today's game and was there any additional gimmicks or forced wins? I was busy today and didn't have time to watch it.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comthat was me in tht last comment btw, a just forgot 2 put me name in lol.
xx.26.102.126[SPOILER]The opening offer of £7,000 was appalling! Why did everyone applaud it? Can't they see how rubbish it is? Natalie took out 3 Blues and 2 Reds, one of them being £35K. I'd have offered at least £12,000 there. Then she had an all blue round and the offer goes up to a pathetic £10,000. Honestly, I sometimes think the Banker WANTS the player to go to 5 box. So, she did get to 5 box and chose to play COPS. She found the win in Police Box B (who wouldn't guess that?). She played on until 3 box and dealt at the offer of £18,000 with £750, £20,000 & £50,000 remaining. However, she then takes out £750 and that means a Banker victory and she had £50K. I think I'd have done the same thing. The chances of hitting that Blue was just 33%. It was unlucky that she would've had the perfect round. I wonder if anyone will ever go for the holiday. Probably if the board isn't that great.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comas i've said before, blixa (in comment 9) acts as though he doesn't know what the words "give up" mean... i wonder if he's resorted to using shared computers now, like in his school or at an internet cafe? i say this because the IP address he's currently on looks like one for a local area network
xx.134.205.194(SPOILER) as for natalie's game - well, it must b said, she's another contestant who didn't come across as being the sharpest tool in the box. especially with all the faffing about that took place, plus all those times she said "the £250k is still there" while on the wings. she certainly wasn't popular on the digital spy forum. and when she was offered £18k she must have been petrified that she'd b offered a lot less even if the next box was the £20k...
xx.134.205.194and i too can't help but think that the banker wants the players in these special shows to go to 5 box. more than likely he still remembers chris's 8 box deal during the 2008 halloween specials (which resulted in the trick or treat twist being left alone altogether, noel simply saying "we'll never find out what would have happened there") and is not too gone on having a repeat of this, hence these stupidly low offers
xx.134.205.194Perhaps Natalie was hoping for the Banker's Gamble then which she definatley would have got if the 20k had been removed instead of the £750.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comI've just read the blog on the DOND website and some people have asked some questions to the Banker, he explains why he chose to have Cops and Robbers as the theme this year. I can't think of anyone who would want to dress up as Cops and Robbers on their birthday other than the Banker. Whether that's the real Banker or just some random guy pretending to be him I don't know. Also i'd hate to think what he's planned for the summer specials.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comthat wasn't me, Offers were low in this game 6,000 was bad, why does he decide to give horribly low offers on special weeks?
xx.242.212.2He gives horribly low offers to ensure the player gets to five-box. They don't want to repeat the fiasco from Halloween 2008.
xxxxx.readingconnect.net(Spoiler) I'm sure the likes of Crazy Chair and a few others will have enjoyed today's game today and I don't disrespect that. However they'll probably find themselves in the minority section on this fansite. Once again we have another one of those games where there is an attempted forced big win and I thought it was a daft one as well. If it was the £500 and £75,000 yes, but not the £1,000 and £75,000 as the offer would be more in live play.
