An unusal show for Roger today with comic moments and a member of the audience getting involved in some offer negotiations with the Banker! Roger gets off to a fairly strong start, and improves on this really well through the early part of his game. Then an audience member gets Roger a tempting offer of £25,000 which will do everything he wants to do, and with this in mind he takes the offer. Unfortunately the proveout rounds show that Roger's luck would have held throughout his game, and Noel then performs a hypothetical swap which just rubs things in even further for Roger.

We should have made the most of this game, as the next eight at least will have all contained silly gimmicks.
xxxxx.as43234.netroger's 8-box board was rather like khanny's - two low reds and three blues as well as the top 3. yet khanny was offered nearly twice as much as roger - and said no deal
xx.134.144.243£25,000 for that board is rubbish, although it's a lot of money it doesn't warrant that board and he is so stupid in dealing at a mean offer. If he had dealt at something like £45,000 which is near Khanny's offer, then I would totally understand. I would never deal with that board and I would have carried on at 65k as well cuz there's 3 numbers higher than that.
xxxxx.bagu.cable.ntl.comu'd have carried on at £65k even if u ran the risk of having the worst possible round and being left with the 1p and 10p joe?
xx.134.144.243That £65k offer was bull! As if he'd offer that! Maximum it would be is £55,000. Anyway I would have dealt at £25,000. I think that board deserved £17,500 which is where I woulda pitched the offer.
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukYes british leyland I would have carried on at 65k and Perry I actually think it would have been 65k at that point. The lowest offer I have seen with 75k, 100k and 250k is £51,000 back in Kirsty's game. Anyway as I was saying I would have gone on becuase there's still 3 numbers higher than that, even though you could take out all 3 numbers in one go i'd take that risk. Even if was left with a blue and one of those 3 reds, I would still get a reasonable offer and if I was left with 250k with one of those other reds then my offer would be around £150,000-£170,000.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comFair enough but in active play apparently the 1p and 10p DRAGS the offers down, funny it wasn't DRAGGED down when he had dealt at the £25k. But it would have been £55,000-ish. The banker's offers in proveout rounds are becoming laughable now! The worst ever lie he has ever done was in Coleen's game though and in Kerry's where she dealt at £35k and "would" have given £105,000 yet gave Eddie £70,000 with a similar scenario. I know he offers differently according to their needs of moey but Kerry made it clear she needed cash to save her house, so the banker wouldnt have given 105k.
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukI don't know why Noel and the Banker have become so obsessed now with 1p and even the 10p, they never use to. I admit it's good to get them out of the way early, but what difference does it make between any of the other blues honestly. It's like when Noel says "This must be 1p now" why? As long as it's blue that's the main thing and why do they always have to do that 1p kiss it's bloody annoying. I have always wanted to go on this show but the problems are: 1. I don't have a sob story or any great expectations 2. I'm not a believer in great self belief 3. 4. I wouldn't want to do the 1p kiss. and finally I don't have a system or a financial target, oh and I wouldn't want to be part of those silly special shows.
xxxxx.bb.sky.comNah I guess it does effect the offer a little I mean a £100,000-1p climax might recieve a £16,000 offer, whereas a £100,000-£500 climax would probably get £26,000? But I know what you mean lol. What gets me is Noel's reactions, if they did just say £15,000 in active play, he'd say NO! WANTED TO KEEP THAT, and if they dealt and did the same he'd say NO NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
xxxxx.cable.ubr06.perr.blueyonder.co.ukIf it was my game I'd obstinately refuse to do the 1p kiss unless it was a really beautiful lady who revealed that amount. :) I expect, though, that Noel would not be very happy... :)
