A highly entertaining game today, as Vincenzo takes to the chair. Despite a shakey start he proves a determined player and works his way up to a testing £17,500 offer which is snapped up. The Banker seizes the chance to test Vincenzo again at the end of the game by throwing in the "Banker's Gamble" and giving him the chance to enter LIVE play again and handing back the earlier deal, but Vincenzo declines this offer and keeps his money.

The bankers gamble was silly, because he took £17,500 and with a £50,000-blue climax the offer would be about (max) £14,000. Assuming the gamble was £17,500 (what Vin dealt at) ... no-one would decline that unless they have no money problem etc, so the gamble was like declining £17,500 on the final round, which was silly, £17,500 would not be offered at that stage, so I'm glad he declined the gamble even thought the 50 was in his box. £50,000 has been coming a lot lately to the table.

The sad thing is the Banker is offering his gamble even though he fully well knows that it's not going to be accepted. Why does he bother??

To try and push them to gamble of course, it's the same when he tells them what the next offer will be if they have the perfect round. I think the banker has been coming up with these silly new ideas i.e. the old £26,000, bankers gamble, future offers and bonuses at the end of their game to try and gain viewers attention and boy it does get my attention but not in the way he expects. Yes i hate them too because it spoils the show really.

It's like when he tells u what the next offer will be, it ruins it then bcuz u know what he will offer if that person does an all blue round. Where as in the early days of DOND we would get excited and tense and wonder "what on earth is he going to offer" and "will be huge or will it be a tester". Nowadays of course most of his offers are testers but not to them cuz they take it.

Hvae you noticed it doesn't pull out his "ol faithful" anymore as it would be snatched, even in the first round, I suppose.

With the way the current players are going I wouldn't be surprised if the Banker's new ol' faithful was £1,000..!
